A new community survey has just been launched as part of South London Listens to help find the solutions to the impact Covid-19 has had on the mental health of our communities.
We continue to see patients at all our sites, as well as in their homes, and have a number of measures in place to ensure our sites are Covid secure, including the wearing of face masks and coverings, deep cleaning, one-way signage and cleaning stations.
Vik Sagar is a Chartered Accountant who started his career in the Corporate Finance department of Ernst & Young.
He is now a Finance Director who specialises in reviewing businesses to improve outcomes for all stakeholders. He has a particular focus on health care and the services sector.
Having always been a resident of south west London he is passionate about contributing to the local community. He joined the Trust in November 2017.
Vik is a member of the Finance & Performance Committee as well as the Audit Committee.
Sharon Spain is an Executive Director of Nursing and Quality.
Sharon has worked in the NHS for 22 years, first training at St George’s Hospital in Tooting as a Registered General Nurse in 1996. During this time, she worked as a healthcare assistant at South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust. Sharon was originally employed by the Trust to use her general nursing skills to develop the Trust’s physical health strategy and raise its profile in our mental health setting. During this time, she became so passionate about working with people with mental health conditions, she retrained as a mental health nurse at the Trust in 1999, and has developed her career at the Trust ever since.
Throughout her nursing career, Sharon has worked with a wide range of services and specialities and has completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Leadership. Sharon continues to work on improving standards of care for the people who use our services and developing the nursing workforce to ensure they have the skills and abilities to provide the best care possible.
Mary Foulkes, OBE, joined the Trust in November 2018, as our new Director of People & Organisational Development, a role shared between South West London & St George's and South London and Maudsley.
Mary is a highly experienced HR Director who has worked at senior levels for over 20 years in a range of different sectors including manufacturing, banking, third sector and the NHS. She has worked in single site hospitals through to European wide HR operations and during her time at HSBC Global Investment Banking she was responsible for global HR operations for a business unit of around 100,000 people across a broad diversity of cultures.
Mary has been a local councillor in Southwark, and received the OBE in 2003 for her charitable work and services to diversity. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
