Body Scan

If you have experienced trauma in the past, suffer from PTSD, have very high levels of anxiety or have self-harmed in the past, please use caution when practicing the body scan. Mindfulness increases our awareness which could allow old memories or emotions to resurface. If you are able to notice this and let go, than this would be useful; however if you start to feel getting more anxious or overwhelmed in any way, please stop the practice immediately as it is not useful for you at this moment in time. Please be kind to yourself, if it doesn’t feel right, it is not right.
