It’s just three months until our new model of community mental health in Sutton goes live.

The Trust has worked closely with colleagues and partner organisations across the South West London Integrated Care System to successfully fund and design the transformation of adult community mental health services over the next three years.

In 2022 the Trust be launching our new 5 Year Digital Strategy, which will shape the direction of transformation for the Trust. The key theme of the Digital Strategy is digital inclusivity and codesign - so we need you to support us in outlining the key priorities and digital ambitions of the Trust and address the ways in which they can be achieved.

Black History Month, celebrated in the UK throughout the month of October, is an annual celebration of the contribution that Black African and Caribbean communities have made both locally and across the world, while remembering important people and events in history.

We are pleased to announce that Sola Afuape has been re-appointed as a Non-Executive Director at South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust. Sola will continue in the role for another three years, having taken up the original appointment in August 2016.

Sutton and Merton MPs, Elliot Colburn and Stephen Hammond, visited South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG) yesterday to tour its services and learn more about the progress made on the development of its Springfield site.

St George’s University of London have awarded Isabel Mark and Charlotte Turner with one of the Education Excellence Awards for their outstanding work that they have done adapting the Psychiatry programme and placement over the last two years.

Arts and mental health charity Hospital Rooms returned to Springfield this August to lead a Summer Art School at the Recovery College. They partnered with some fantastic Wandsworth cultural organisations including Matt's Gallery, National Opera Studio, Ubuntu Museum and International Curators Forum to bring a wide variety of creative sessions to students. From watercolour and collage to singing and storytelling, the workshops provided an opportunity for people to try new things and express themselves through a range of different mediums.
