Innovative community partnership fund established - apply now

South West London and St. George’s Mental Health NHS Trust has launched a new engagement programme called  ‘Making Life Better Together.’ At its heart, the programme is about working closely with the people we serve to make our Trust a great place to work and an outstanding place to receive care.

By working with the local communities we will be able to attract local people to come and work at the Trust and can co-produce services to meet the needs of the diverse community across South West London.

Changes to service locations and car parking at Springfield Hospital

As we prepare the Springfield Hospital site for the construction of our new state-of-the-art mental health facilities, it is necessary to relocate some of our services.

Building our new £100m hospital in Tooting is a once in a life time opportunity and, subject to final government approvals, we should begin construction in September 2019.

Trust ranks top in London for overall patient experience in CQC Mental Health Survey

In the latest Care Quality Commission report of people who use community mental health services 2018, South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG) is pleased to have been rated top in London, having scored 7.1 (out of 10) for overall patient experience as well as scoring the highest for six of the eleven domains (Health and Social Care Workers, Organising Care, Planning Care, Reviewing Care, Medicines and Overall Experience).

Deaf Mental Health Matters event - 27 November 2018

Deaf Mental Health Matters is an event designed for stakeholders (service users/carers/clinicians in both primary and secondary care/commissioners/third sector providers) to showcase the highly specialised mental health services for deaf people here at South West London and St. George’s Mental Health Trust and to raise awareness of the issues faced by people who are deaf and also have mental health problems in terms of accessing appropriate care and treatment.

Trust hosts inaugural national conference for mental health exercise professionals

On Friday 2 November, more than 100  exercise professionals from more than 35 different trusts and organisations around the country, came together at Springfield Hospital in Tooting, to discuss the importance of physical activity in treating both physical and mental health conditions and the increased recognition for addressing parity of esteem within mental health care.
