Recovery College balloon release led by Tooting MP Sadiq Khan

Trust nurses attend prestigous international congress for law and mental health

Two nurses from South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG) Adult Acute Inpatient Services, Kiran Jnagal, and Felicity Mayer, were invited to a prestigious international congress for law and mental health.

Held at the Sigmund Freud University in Vienna, the congress attracts an international community of leading researchers, academics, practitioners and professionals to share their perspectives on law and mental health.  Topics discussed include forensic psychiatry in Pakistan and the practical ethics between law and mental health in Guantanamo and death row.

#Upliftingimage competition – What makes you smile?

It is World Mental Health Day on 10 October 2015 and to demonstrate our support for challenging stigma South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG) will be launching #UpliftingImage - a digital photography competition open to everyone living across our five boroughs - Sutton, Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Wandsworth.

Annual Public Meeting 2015 - Thursday 24 September

On Thursday 24 September we will be hosting our Annual Public Meeting.

The event will take place from 5.30pm in the Conference Suite, Main Building 14 (Entrance 3), Springfield University Hospital, 61 Glenburnie Road, London SW17 7DJ.

The Annual Public Meeting is an opportunity for you to learn about our achievements and challenges, as well as our vision for the future of the Trust. Following the formal business of the meeting there will be an opportunity to meet Board members and senior staff.

Refreshments will be provided.

Mental Health Matters - seminar on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Are you interested in learning more about our mental health services?

South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust is hosting a series of free seminars to raise awareness of mental health conditions.

This is an opportunity to find out more about the Trust and the work we do in different areas of mental health.

South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust will be hosting a seminar on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder on the 23 September between 18.00 to 20.00.

South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG) is celebrating after the Merton Home Treatment Team (HTT) gained accreditation on the prestigious Home Treatment Accreditation Scheme (HTAS) run by the Royal College of Psychiatrists Centre for Quality Improvement.

ITV Team Feature Trust Services to Highlight Excellent Care

As part of ITV's #Changing Minds campaign on mental health in the UK, ITN news spent a week at South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust, to provide an overview of the excellent services run by the Trust.

The Trust provides hospital inpatient and outpatient services, social care, community-based services and support to people in their own homes in the London boroughs of Wandsworth, Kingston, Richmond, Sutton and Merton.

New 32 acre park at Springfield University Hospital in Tooting

Our Trust is consulting on plans for a new park at Springfield Hospital, part of the wider regeneration of the site, which was approved in 2012.

The plans for the new park have generated a high level of interest, with over 1,600 residents responding to the initial questionnaire asking what they would like to see in the new park and 169 residents attending the three day exhibition from 9th to 11th July.

Our Trust  (SWLSTG) is proud to be named in the Health Service Journal (HSJ) top 100 places to work in healthcare.

The HSJ, in conjunction with Best Group Companies (BCG) has compiled a list of the top 100 best places to work in healthcare, announcing the list at a ceremony at the ICC in Birmingham on the 7th July.
