Have your say: TfL bus route consultation opens

TfL’s reliance on passenger fares for the majority of its income, means the effect of the pandemic on the operators finances has been devastating, requiring Government support to keep public transport in London operating.

The Government set a number of conditions before it would provide emergency funding to keep TfL operating, including requiring a plan to set out how it would achieve significant financial savings. TfL is now undertaking a detailed review of London's bus network in order to achieve these significant financial savings required by the Government.

The NHS is changing from July

Following several years of locally led development, recommendations of NHS England and NHS Improvement and Royal Assent of the Health and Care Act (2022), 42 'Integrated Care Systems', or ICSs, will be established across England on a statutory basis on 1 July 2022.

 

Celebrating Volunteers’ Week: Ayesha’s story

Volunteers’ Week takes place from 1 to 7 June every year and gives us a chance to recognise the fantastic contribution volunteers make to the Trust and say thank you to each and every single one of them.

 At SWLStG, we have over 50 volunteers who dedicate so much of their time to supporting not only our staff and services users, but also the carers and families of the people we care for. Our volunteers bring skills, knowledge and a desire to make a difference to our services and local communities.

Annual Public Meeting 21 July

We are pleased to invite you to our Annual Public Meeting which will be held online on Thursday 21 July, from 5:30pm – 7.30pm (login from 5:00pm). 

We will be reflecting on our achievements and challenges from the past 12 months with updates from our Executive Team, before taking an in depth look at the modern new facilities we are developing across South West London. Please see the full agenda  here. 

We will be joined by guest speakers including Dr Jacqui Dyer MBE, President of the Mental Health Foundation, as well as members of staff and service users to understand more about the new environments being developed, their role in breaking stigma and the wider impact they will have for the communities we serve.

The final part of the meeting will involve a Q&A session with our Executive Team who will be on hand to answer your questions.

Exceptional People Award: Congratulations to our latest winner!

Congratulations to Assistant Psychologist Elena Bantoft who is our latest Exceptional People Award winner! Elena joined the Trust six months ago and works as part of the Kingston Older People Community Mental Health Team.

Temporary pedestrian through route at Springfield

Please be advised that the pedestrian route through the site from and up to the Glenburnie Road entrance is being diverted.

This takes people around the back of Newton building and will be in place from 13 May until 13 June 2022. The route is clearly marked per the signage shown below.

Trust’s child friendly policy wins Safeguarding Stars Award

Richmond CAMHS assistant psychologist Nicola Dalrymple and some of our young experts by experience have won a national award for their hard work developing the Trust’s new Child Friendly Safeguarding Policy.
