Cavendish Square Group publish Mental Health Fact Book for London

The Cavendish Square Group, a collaboration of the 10 Trusts responsible for mental health services in London, have published their London Mental Health Fact Book today.

The London Mental Health Fact Book is intended to provide accurate information about mental health in London and is an essential document for all those with an interest in mental health in London.

The Fact Book contains information about the world-leading mental health care and support available in London.  It has a detailed directory of the 10 London NHS Trusts -  including South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG) - who provide mental health care for south west London, as well as information about a range of peer-support services and how to contact them.

It will be useful for patients and carers who want to learn more about local services and people looking for authoritative information about mental health issues and trends in London, or who want to better educate themselves about mental health issues.

David Bradley, Chief Executive at South West London and St. George's Mental Health Trust, said:

"Excellent mental health care exists across London, and we at the Trust are passionate about mental health and the parity of esteem between physical and mental health.

"Our Trust works in one of the most diverse and populated areas in London and by working collaboratively with the other mental health Trusts in London we can ensure that we use our collective voice to continually improve and champion our high quality services throughout the capital."

There are also a series of articles from some of London's pre-eminent mental health experts, including by Dr Ben Nereli, Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist at the Trust, on addressing the mental health needs of pregnant women and women in the first year following the birth of their babies.
