The Trust is pleased to announce that it has appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer.
Following a robust competitive interview process with the support of stakeholders from across south west London, a service user and staff panel, we have appointed Vanessa Ford as Chief Executive of South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust.
Trust chair Ann Beasley said:
“Vanessa will continue to ensure our high standards of patient care remain at the forefront of everything we do, championing the mental health of all our patients, their carers and our community.
“I’d like to thank Vanessa, as well as each and every member of our staff, for their continued hard work and dedication as we all work together during these unprecedented times.”
Vanessa has been Acting Chief Executive Officer at the Trust over the last year, leading our Trust through our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection which saw the Trust rated again as ‘Good’.
On her appointment, Vanessa said:
“I am incredibly happy to have the opportunity to continue to lead this organisation, which I care about so deeply and where I trained and worked for so many years. My top priority will continue to be maintaining the Trust’s sharp focus on caring for our patients and their carers, and ensuring the very best possible mental health outcomes for all.
“This is even more vital at this crucial time when we, along with the rest of the NHS, continue to work together to tackle the challenge of Covid-19 and keep our service users, community and staff safe and well.”
