Katie Phillips is January’s Exceptional People Award winner

Katie Phillips is January’s Exceptional People Award winner

The first Exceptional People Award winner of the year is Katie Phillips, who was selected as the January 2023 winner.

Katie, who works as a social worker on Aquarius Ward, will be celebrating her second anniversary at the Trust this April and has been described by her teammates as a key member of the ward’s team.

Katie’s colleague said: “Katie is someone who really goes above and beyond her basic remit to make sure that all the ward’s patients and their families are held in mind. Not many staff will allow their faces to be painted for Halloween or form a girl band to help distract a group of patients at an acute time on the ward!”

Katie was overwhelmed to hear that she had been selected as our latest award winner and expressed her thanks to those who nominated her, and to everyone who makes her proud to be in her role.

“I absolutely love working with young people and their families. Feeling that you make a difference in their lives is very rewarding and I am so proud to be part of their journey.

“I am also very grateful to be working with such an amazing team who have been supportive on both a personal and professional level.”

Katie will receive a certificate, a gift, and our thanks for her valued service to the Trust and patients.

Every month we recognise and reward a staff member that has made a real difference to the Trust, our people and our patients.
