OCD Where now? A discussion about future treatments

OCD Where now? A discussion about future treatments

On Thursday 22 November, the Trust welcomed healthcare professionals, people living with OCD, carers, and members of the public to the Trust to learn more about OCD at our public event 'OCD: Where now? A discussion about future treatments'.

Part of our making life better together programme to work closer with our local communities, attendees heard from experts, Dr Lynne Drummond and Professor Naomi Fineberg.

The packed audience also heard a powerful personal story from India, an expert by experience.

Speaking after the event, Dr Drummond said: "OCD is a serious mental health condition which causes much suffering and is often ignored. But it can be successfully treated. By coming together at events like this and sharing our experiences we can help to raise awareness of the condition so that people might be encouraged to seek help and support sooner rather than later. I want to thank everyone who came along to the event for sharing their thoughts and experiences so willingly."
