Shaftesbury garden party

Ahead of their move into our new Shaftesbury building in October, staff and services users recently came together for a summer garden party. Attended by over 40 people, the event was an opportunity for everyone to come together, relax, and celebrate the completion of the fantastic new facility they will soon be moving into.

DSCN6402The party was hosted in the courtyard garden of the current Shaftesbury building where there was a picnic lunch, bake-off competition and a range of activities including sports and dancing sessions. Thanks to music and mental health charity Sound Minds, there was also live music with staff and service users invited to take part.

Clinical Exercise Therapist Thomas Roberts, one of the event’s organisers, said: “It was fantastic having everyone come together to say a final goodbye to our current Shaftesbury building ahead of the move into our new facility next month – it looks amazing and we are all really looking forward to getting settled in.

DSC1860“Everyone who attended the party had a brilliant time, and you could see how much it meant to our service users who really got into the party spirit!

“I also want to add a big thank you to all of my colleagues and service users who helped to organise the day. We hope to be able to do something as enjoyable in our new home shortly!”
