This week South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust is again celebrating OCD Week of action (19-25 February), highlighting the importance of understanding obsessive compulsive disorder and challenging the stigma surrounding the disorder.
As a Trust, we offer specialist national services, providing treatment for the most severely ill patients with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) in the form of intensive home-based therapy, outpatient, and inpatient treatment.
SWLSTG Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Lynne Drummond explains in this Trust video what OCD is, the myths surrounding it and what you can do if you or a loved one are suffering so you can get the right support.
"Help is certianly available for anyone who is dealing with this condition. Speak to your GP, or go to a self-help group such as: OCD Action, OCD UK or Top UK".
