SWLSTG named as one of the ‘top places to work’ in the country

Our Trust  (SWLSTG) is proud to be named in the Health Service Journal (HSJ) top 100 places to work in healthcare.

The HSJ, in conjunction with Best Group Companies (BCG) has compiled a list of the top 100 best places to work in healthcare, announcing the list at a ceremony at the ICC in Birmingham on the 7th July.

David Bradley, Chief Executive said:

"I am delighted we are named in the top 100 places to work in healthcare.

"Our staff are our greatest asset and they work tirelessly to deliver high quality care and continuously aim to improve the patient experience

"Over the last three years we have worked hard to improve the working environment through Listening into Action, which has had an impact on improving patient care.

"We are very proud of our staff and I would like to thank them for always going the extra mile in caring for our patients."

The HSJ's Best Places to Work Top 100 Award is an annual celebration of the UK's public sector healthcare employers. The list is compiled by HSJ and BCG through the NHS Staff Survey, which looks at employee engagement and satisfaction.

Each trust's data is categorised into seven different core focus areas to determine how good they are in each of the areas.

These are:

  • Leadership and planning
  • Corporate culture and communications
  • Role satisfaction
  • Work environment
  • Relationship with supervisor
  • Training and development
  • Employee engagement and employee satisfaction

Trusts are then ranked according to this data to identify who were in the top 100.
