Trust celebrates International Nurses Day - 12 May

Trust celebrates International Nurses Day - 12 May

On Friday, South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust is celebrating International Nurses Day on Friday, 12 May with a day of   learning, reflection and building on the work our nurses do everyday across South West London.

Our speakers will include Oliver Shanley, the Joint Regional Chief Nurse for NHS Development and NHS Improvement will be speaking to share his vision for nursing in London.

We are also sharing case studies from staff across the Trust throughout the week to show the experiences of nursing staff working in mental health.

Director of Nursing and Quality Vanessa Ford said:

“Nurses are at the heart of mental health care. International Nurses Day is a wonderful opportunity for our nurses to be acknowledged for the hard work they do and the vital role they play in the patient journey.”

To learn more about the nursing roles we have available at the Trust – have a look at what our staff say about their experiences of working in mental health.
