South West London and St. George’s Mental Health NHS Trust has launched a new engagement programme called ‘Making Life Better Together.’ At its heart, the programme is about working closely with the people we serve to make our Trust a great place to work and an outstanding place to receive care.
By working with the local communities we will be able to attract local people to come and work at the Trust and can co-produce services to meet the needs of the diverse community across South West London.
As part of this programme, we would like to develop a strategic partnership in each of the boroughs that we serve; Sutton, Merton, Wandsworth, Kingston and Richmond and we are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for our strategic community partners for 2019/20.
Our successful partners will receive a grant of up to £2000 to help deliver four mental health awareness events to bring the local community together and work closely on key mental health initiatives.
Darren Fernandes, Strategic Co-production lead at the Trust said “This is a fantastic opportunity for local community organisations who are passionate about mental health to get involved and help to improve services. Through becoming a strategic community partner we are asking for local organisations to help us to reach out to the diverse community across South West London and celebrate mental health.”
We are really hopeful that lots of organisations will apply as we are committed to working in close partnership with the community we serve so that we can make life better together.
Further details, eligibility criteria and the application form can be found here.
Please note the closing date for applications is 1 March 2019.
