In the latest Care Quality Commission report of people who use community mental health services 2018, South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG) is pleased to have been rated top in London, having scored 7.1 (out of 10) for overall patient experience as well as scoring the highest for six of the eleven domains (Health and Social Care Workers, Organising Care, Planning Care, Reviewing Care, Medicines and Overall Experience).
There are still some areas for improvement including Crisis Care for which actions plans are currently under development.
Chief Executive David Bradley said: “These results are really encouraging, they demonstrate that people who responded to this important survey are happy with the service our staff work hard to offer. However we are committed to continual improvement and we understand there is much more work to do in our community mental health services. Our teams continue to work very hard to support the South West London mental health community and are leading on initiatives to ensure patients receive treatment closer to their home.”
