Water Shutdown – Springfield site

Water Shutdown – Springfield site

The Estates and Facilities team would like to make you aware there will be two water shutdowns on Wednesday 25 September and Thursday 26 September.

The team have been working hard to reduce the disruption and therefore will be undertaking the necessary work in two stages, the first stage affecting hot water only.

These works are essential to enable the construction of the new hospital buildings and Facilities will be on hand to support wards on the affected days.

Wednesday 25 September from 10am – the Main Building will be affected. Only hot water will be affected.

The works are due to last all morning and hot water is expected to be reconnected in the early afternoon.

Thursday 26 September from 10am – affected buildings will include Newton, Ghodse and the Main Building.

Both hot and cold water will be affected and works will be ongoing until 6:30pm.

The Facilities team will be supplying bottled water to all affected buildings including water and buckets for the WCs. Portaloos will also be provided near the Newton and Trust HQ buildings.

Staff will be receiving support from our Facilities team – if you are a patient or a carer and would like more information then please contact your healthcare professional who will be able to provide more support alongside the Facilities team.

If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact the team via email:

Cold water shutdown successfully completed on Wednesday 25 September. The hot water shutdown is still scheduled for Thursday 26 September.
