What you can expect

Lilacs Ward is an acute psychiatric admissions ward which in addition to the high level of nursing care takes a holistic view of each client’s problems. In addition to medical treatment, service users are offered a wide range of other psycho-social interventions. We provide a weekly evaluation of treatment and assessment by the multi-disciplinary team where service users will have the opportunity to discuss their treatment, progress and future plans.

The ward is staffed 24 hours a day mainly by nurses and health care support workers. The nursing team works in three shifts over a 24-hour period, ensuring the care & safety of all service users and staff on the ward. Also, the ward has a full-time Occupational Therapist, an activity coordinator and a part-time clinical psychologist.
