What you can expect

Everyone who uses our service gets an assessment of their mental health needs and a plan of the care and support they will receive. Everyone will also have one named person who co-ordinates their care and support. This person will be called either a named professional or, if your needs are more complex, a care co-ordinator. This person will be your main point of contact and you can speak to them about how your treatment and support is going.

Your GP should always be your first point of contact for any mental health related issues. Your GP can then refer to the Single Point of Access (SPA) Team if appropriate.

Referrals are usually via letter or efax to the SPA team

As a secondary care service we do not accept direct referrals.
