Sexual Behaviour Service

Who we are

The service is for men and women with a combination of mental health problems and a history of sexual offending and/or sexually inappropriate behaviour.

Who you might see / our staff

 

  • Ms Julia Houston: Consultant Clinical Psychologist or one of the other psychologists
  • A specialty doctor (psychiatric registrar) working with the service

 

What you can expect

 

You will attend first for a comprehensive assessment of your difficulties. After this, we may give advice back to your mental health team, probation officer or GP or offer you some further individual sessions. You care coordinator will remain with your referring team.

Referrals

 

Referrals are accepted from a range of sources including:

  • Mental health teams
  • GPs (self referrals via GP)
  • Local authorities*
  • Probation service*

*Funding is required if the individual has no mental health problems.
