Twickenham Recovery and Support Team

Who we are

The Twickenham Recovery Support works out of the Maddison Centre. We are a multi-disciplinary community mental health service for people experiencing severe and enduring mental illness.  We have Psychiatrists, Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Recovery Support Workers and Employment Specialists in the team.

Who is the service for

Our service is for working age adults between 18 -74 years old who have a severe and enduring mental health illnesses that requires the expertise of specialists in terms of treatment and support which cannot be provided in a Primary Care setting or by GPs. It is for those who are living in the Twickenham, Teddington or Hampton district of the Borough of Richmond upon Thames, who will mostly have a GP within the Borough as well.

What you can expect

We plan the form of treatment and care that will aid those we support so that they will recovery from their mental health difficulties as much as possible. This does involve aiding people to access other services such as the local authority or voluntary sector agencies who could meet people’s identified needs. When people have an open case to our Team they will have one named person who co-ordinates their care and support. This person will be called either a named professional or, if your needs are more complex, a care co-ordinator. This person should be your main point of contact.  You can speak to them about how your treatment and support is going.


Referral to the Twickenham RST is done with service user agreement, through Kingston and Richmond Assessment Team (KRAT) and referrals can be sent to:
