Welfare Benefits Team

The service is for people who are under the care of the South West London & St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust as an outpatient of the Community Mental Health Team or a specialist mental health service or as an inpatient on one of the Trust hospital wards. 

Our opening hours

The drop-in service is held at the following times: Monday - Friday: 10.00 - 12.30

Scheduled appointments can be made outside these times and must be pre-arranged.

At an appointment with a member of The Welfare Benefits Team service users will be treated with respect and dignity and given high-quality, professional advice in a confidential setting.

To ensure we deliver the most accurate advice and support, service users should bring relevant documents pertaining to any current benefit claims to their initial appointment.

Once a service user’s needs are established, The Welfare Benefits Team will suggest the most appropriate course of action and, in agreement with the service user, provide advice and practical support.

Please note that when attending a drop-in or outreach service, there may be a wait to speak to a member of The Welfare Benefits Team.

We accept referrals from South West London & St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust medical professionals such as Care-Coordinators, Ward Staff and Consultants.
